Oil filter discoveries
It turns out that the current sportbike offerings from Honda, Kawasaki, and Yamaha use the same oil filter. If your sportbike can use the Fram filter 6017 or 6017A, as many can, then you can use any filter available for the Mazda RX7, Mazda Miata or Mazda MX-3. This means you can use oil filters from Mobil, Bosch, Stp, Deutsch, or Puralator. You now have a number of options with repect to price and quality.

Just checked out the Cycle World International Motorcycle show at the Javits Center in
NYC. Overall there wasn't much new there except for the new Honda CBR
929RR and the Honda RC51. I've been riding a Ninja 1996 ZX9R and more
recently a 1998 ZX9R, for the last couple of years, but hey, this season I may
just be on one of those Honda's.
